Metabaloids Trading Card Game Organized Play
Getting Started
- Register as a player.
- Verify your email address.
- Attend official Organized Play events.
- Earn quarterly promo cards and year-end drawing entries.
Metabaloids Organized Play is designed to grow local communities. Play official events, earn quarterly rewards, and qualify for exclusive promo cards. Local game stores host and manage their own Organized Play events, while Metabaloids tracks player participation for rewards and year-end drawings. If your local game store isn't participating yet, invite them to join the Metabaloids Organized Play network.
How Players Qualify
Players qualify for a quarterly participation promo card by attending 3 separate Metabaloids events during the active quarter. Each event attended earns 1 event credit.
Your first official Organized Play event automatically establishes your Home Store. Quarterly promo cards will be shipped to that store for pickup. If you later wish to change your Home Store, please contact support to make a change request. Changes may take effect the following quarter.
Promo Card Distribution
Qualified players receive their quarterly promo through their registered primary store. Promo cards are shipped to the store, and the store is responsible for distributing them to qualified players.
Year-End Drawing
Each quarter a player qualifies, they earn 1 entry into the year-end drawing. The year-end drawing will award a special foil promo card that is only available through this program.
Event Format
Organized Play events use Fast Multiplayer Mode unless otherwise announced. Stores should make sure players are using decks that are legal for the event format.
Deck Legality
Players are responsible for ensuring their decks are legal before play begins. Decks may include no more than 4 copies of the same card name. Promo versions count toward that same 4-copy limit.
Store Participation
Stores must register to host official Metabaloids Organized Play events. Registered stores submit events, manage attendance, and help players earn participation credit.
Players must be tied to a registered store in order to participate in official organized play and qualify for promo rewards.
Stores planning to host their first event should register several days in advance to allow time for application review and approval.
